MSC in Brazil


MSC Santos Head Office - Dec 2008With the mission to get sustainable and organic growth, preserving the personality of the company, focused in the customer, promoting agility and flexibility, MSC Brazil nowadays counts with more than 800 employees in 14 offices, in the North, Northeast, Southeastern and South regions of the country, strategically located to guarantee commercial and operational covering in the main markets.

Established in 1997 to initiate a regular service of transport of containers, binding Europe and Americas, MSC Brazil currently operates in 13 Brazilian ports, using 7 regular services, with over 40 ships of capacity around 2.000 and 4.500 TEUS. Such structure enables a global covering, calling the main ports around the world.

Social Responsibility

The MSC social responsibility program’s purpose is to retribute to society the business success it has achieved in the last 12 years in the Brazilian market. The objective is to stimulate a sustainable economic development, seeking partners that are willing to become a part of this social evolution.

The entities evaluated and their projects had to obey the following principles in order to receive support from MSC: Transparency: to have well defined social and philanthropic objectives;

Aptness: to be legally registered with the official government entities

Trustworthiness: its directors must have a good image before its maintainers and local community;

Receptivity: must readily accept improvements to the actual conditions;

Proactivity: to search for alternatives that promote the entity’s self support.

  • Portal do Bem (Goodwill Portal) – Volunteer program whose purpose is to add social values to the institutions and communities
  • Bússola do Milênio (Milenium Compass) – Commitment to the preservation and sustainability of the environment
  • Farol da transformação (Transformation Lighthouse) – Support and motivate sporting, artistic and cultural activities.
